What a weekend that was. At first I was slightly apprehensive about heading to Pensacola, Florida for Deluna Music Festival, October 14-16, 2011. I had just been traveling alot for music lately, spending hard earned $$$ on it and etc… But it proved to hard to say no to a press pass to a beach party with some great artists on the bill.
Damn, am I glad I decided to go…

Everything just ended up falling perfectly into place… Although the festival was clearly a failure for the powers at be (extremely low attendance), everyone that ended up going benefitted greatly from the lack of crowds and all around convenience of the event. We saw some great acts; watching stages while wading in the crystal clear waters (there was no barrier seperating the ocean from the grounds!). We also spent plenty of time exploring the beaches and Pensacola while not at the festival, which included a trip to Big Lagoon State Park which was a pretty sweet locale. This weekend was the perfect mix of partying and relaxing, a sweet combination that I have never really experienced before. Hats off to DeLuna… Thanks for the party.
